IWGA (International World Games Association) organizes in 2009 from 16th of july until 27th of july, the 8th official World Games Event in Kaohsiung - Chinese Taipei. IWGA is part of the IOC (International Olympic Committee) and is made up of 32 International Sports Federations governing all those sports and disciplines of sports which are eligible for participation in the Official Sports Program. The organization of The World Games is entrusted by the IWGA to an Organizing Committee formed by the host city and entities such as the National Olympic Committee, the regional government, etc.

WCBS (World Confederation of Billiard Sports) is taking part on this event with 3 disciplines and 4 categories as follow:
1. Carom 3 Cushion - 16 players selected over the world are taking part.
2. Pool - Men - 9 Ball - 16 players selected over the world are taking part.
3. Pool - Women - 9 Ball - 16 players selected over the world are taking part.
4. Snooker - 16 players selected over the world are taking part.

Carom Players are delegated by the UMB (Union Mondial de Billard)

Pool players are delegated by WPA (World Pool-Billiard Asscociation)

Snooker players are delegated by IBSF ( International Billiard and Snooker Federation)

So the Billiard part of the World Games event will be exposed on this website. At this moment all participants are known and the draw is available on this website. During the event all LiveScore results of the matches will be shown. For more details please look at the items of this website.

This is the 8th edition of the World Games and about 4500 athletes divided over 31 sports (26 disciplines) and 99 nations will take part in this event.
